Welcome to Maass Media!

My goal for this blog is to share the music I listen to with as many people as possible.  If this is your first time here, all you need to know is that everyday I post good songs from different genres of music.  There is a list of genres on the left - clicking on a genre will lead you to a list of songs (with links to hear them) that I have posted on my blog.

Any time you see a portion of text in brown that means it's a link.  If you want to leave a comment, click on the comment box at the bottom of the post you want to comment on.  Rock on!

Natalie Voloshin's Daily Dose of Jam

The world can be a very strange place. Take the last 100 years for example:
  • Illinois has seen 4 governors get indicted
  • Jazz is born
  • Some dude named Matt gets sponsored by Stride to dance everywhere in the world.
  • 2 different people both named Aaron Maass form a website/business called MaassMedia. You can see his site here.
  • Natalie Voloshin wins the contest I posted earlier last night. Her prize? She gets a post dedicated to her. Oddly enough, her name was already on my calendar for a post today :)
Here are the answers to last nights quiz, with some background behind each quote:

a. "I don't expect everybody to like me. If you try to please everybody, by changing your position and your personality, every time you do that you lose a little bit of yourself"
b. “As people do better, they start voting like Republicans - unless they have too much education and vote Democratic, which proves there can be too much of a good thing”
c. "What's Wal-Mart? Do they sell, like Wall stuff?"
d. "(I'm looking for) a substantial salary for himself at a either a non-profit foundation or an organization affiliated with labor unions"
e. "I can't really remember the names of the clubs that we went to"

a. Nancy Grace - This crazy b*tch led a mother to suicide.
b. Karl Rove - No background story behind this quote. Karl Rove is just a slimeball, that's all.
c. Paris Hilton - Does Wal -Mart sell wall stuff? Really Paris?
d. Rod Blagojevich - This quote was one of his demands from whoever he elects to take Barack Obama's senate seat.
e. Shaquille O'neal - He said he Didn't remember what clubs he went to. That was his answer when a news reporter asked him if he went to the Parthenon when in Greece.

In baseball news, it's looking like the Cubs are getting ready to acquire Jake Peavy. This is huge.

In Natalie Voloshin news, finals are starting for her soon. Yuck. As much as I hate finals, it's still a lot better than finals in high school. It doesn't make sense to give you a cumulative exam after being away from school for two weeks. She's such a sweet girl, I can't wait to go to UIC with her next fall!

Anyways, she requested some hard rock, so here's Blurry by Puddle of Mudd off their album Come Clean. (My internet gave me some problems, so the song cuts out early :\ )

Enjoy!
