Welcome to Maass Media!

My goal for this blog is to share the music I listen to with as many people as possible.  If this is your first time here, all you need to know is that everyday I post good songs from different genres of music.  There is a list of genres on the left - clicking on a genre will lead you to a list of songs (with links to hear them) that I have posted on my blog.

Midterms Pt. 3

Chicago arguably produces some of the best music.  Some examples:

Lupe Fiasco
Kanye West
Common
Umphrey's McGee
Chicago
Earth, Wind and Fire

I know there are a lot more bands that I didn't cover, especially the Chicago Jazz scene.  Wilco, one of the best modern alternative/folk bands around started in Chicago.  If you've ever been to a Starbucks, I'm sure you've seen one of their CDs featured there.  Here's one of their most popular songs, Jesus Etc. from the album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.
