Welcome to Maass Media!

My goal for this blog is to share the music I listen to with as many people as possible.  If this is your first time here, all you need to know is that everyday I post good songs from different genres of music.  There is a list of genres on the left - clicking on a genre will lead you to a list of songs (with links to hear them) that I have posted on my blog.

Any time you see a portion of text in brown that means it's a link.  If you want to leave a comment, click on the comment box at the bottom of the post you want to comment on.  Rock on!

Every Jew's Daily Dose of Jam

HAPPY HANUKKAH

As a Jew, I believe in saving money. As a nice Jew, I believe in saving you money. Starting today, I am going to be adding movie reviews to TheMaassMedia. Here's my first movie review, discussing The Day the Earth Stood Still.

The plot was garbage. It starts with some alien sort of space-sphere coming to Earth. When you think aliens coming to Earth, right away you know this movie reeks of Keanu Reeves. Classic K.R. quotes right here.

"
I'm Mickey Mouse. They don't know who's inside the suit"

"
People were saying that David Geffen and I had gotten married and it just blew me away. Not that they thought I was gay, but that they thought I could land a guy that hot."

What really made this movie terrible was the little brat kid from Heroes, Jaden Smith. He ruined the movie for me my life. In all reality, the main reason I didn't like this movie was because it was the type of movie where nobody smiled. The plot dragged along, and there wasn't nearly as much violence or action as I thought there would be. The special effects were kind of cool, and the anti-violence robot was pretty sick.

Isn't this a pretty picture of China?

Long story short, this movie had Keanu Reeves, robots, a questionable plot, and minimal action. No naked chicks. It's $8.00. You make the call. I give it a 7.0/10

Paying for music? Who does that? According to some recent numbers, legal downloading outgrew illegal downloading this last quarter.

I was thinking the exact same thing... I was expecting like a 4 out of 10 after the way you just bashed on it.

I didn't hate it, most of the review was just sarcasm. It was still interesting.
