If you went to Stevenson, you have to admit, there's no way you didn't love the Social Studies department. Conneen. Mazzuca. Salituro. Haan. The list goes on. The Triple Entente of Stevenson High School. But Haan doesn't count; he's an enigma.
Mr. Salituro was great. At the beginning of my freshman year, he spent an entire class period teaching us aikido, a Japanese martial art. Another time, one of his henchmen, Mazzuca, came in to class, looking for someone to play football because Bolger went home early. He picked Matt Friedman, one of my classmates, to go outside and play catch with him in the parking lot.
If you ever had Conneen or Larson for government, then surely you heard about CitizenU.org. Every single day. Before class. During class. Afer class. Sometimes in the hallways even. It's a pretty cool blog though. Before the AP exams in May of 2007, they were on National Radio taking questions from students studying for the tests. There were callers from California to West Virginia. When TheMaassMedia is nationally broadcast, I'll be happy.
I never had Haan. I really wish I did. Even if you ever had a class in the 7000's, you've probably seen him running around, picking on young couples in the hallway. If you did have him, I'll bet you heard him play this song. A lot. Highway to Hell by AC/DC. Did you know AC/DC is an Australian band?
In Non-Stevenson related news, Massachusetts has declared the sale of Tobacco products illegal on college campuses. But wait, there is hope. For all you Massachusetts tobacco junkies, check out my friend's up and coming online cigar store, wegotcigars.com. The site is still under construction, but it'll be ready for business soon.
I can't wait for the Panthers Giants showdown this Monday Night. Brandon Jacobs is still listed as questionable. Whoever wins this game will take home NFC homefield advantage through the postseason.
Enjoy!
Welcome to Maass Media!
My goal for this blog is to share the music I listen to with as many people as possible. If this is your first time here, all you need to know is that everyday I post good songs from different genres of music. There is a list of genres on the left - clicking on a genre will lead you to a list of songs (with links to hear them) that I have posted on my blog.
Any time you see a portion of text in brown that means it's a link. If you want to leave a comment, click on the comment box at the bottom of the post you want to comment on. Rock on!

You're missing some very important teachers there... What about Brandt? And Elbaum? They were two of my favorite teachers at Stevenson! Haan's great though haha. You should have played "Don't worry, be happy." That was his signature song.
haan had a different song for each class....some had highway to hell....i would have been fine with that....but my class got stuck with Bobby McFerrin's "Don't Worry, Be Happy". i had heard that song enough as a kid....haan destoryed it.
hahahaha mazz... oh boy I'm pretty sure he hated me... i fell asleep in his u.s history class at least 3 times a week... though i'm also pretty sure he let me sleep just so he could make fun of me about it after word... he called me sleepy d... and coneen. he hated me too for the same reason... i just hate history and couldn't stay awake in their classes... yah it was pretty bad.... any one have mr.thibideau for calc? i distinctly remember him saying the f word to a student that wouldn't shut up in his class it was awesome!
